Chess will once again have its own place at the 21st Fira Gata al Carrer. On Saturday 10 October, Gata de Gorgos will host the 12th Chess Tournament, one of the fair’s activities that attracts plenty of players and chess enthusiasts every year.
Throughout the morning, chess boards will take centre stage as players put their strategy and concentration to the test in a fun and lively atmosphere.
Taking part is not only about winning. It is a chance to enjoy a game of chess, meet other players, test your skills and experience the unique atmosphere of the Fira. And there is another good reason to join: the tournament will offer more than €200 in prizes.
Registration is free and is already open. The tournament will take place from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a time control of 5 minutes + 3 seconds per move.
