Some of the smallest inhabitants of our surroundings have an enormous role to play. Bees are essential to our ecosystems, and their fascinating world will be part of the 21st Fira Gata al Carrer.
Throughout the three days of the Fira, the Apicultors del Montgó stand will host a “World of Bees and Honey” exhibition, offering visitors the chance to learn more about bees, their relationship with nature and one of the most appreciated products they produce: honey.

The exhibition will give visitors a closer look at how bees live, how a hive works and what lies behind that small jar of honey that reaches our tables.
Because producing honey is about much more than collecting a product. Behind it are flowers, plants, landscapes, hard work and, above all, thousands of small bees travelling through their surroundings collecting nectar that will eventually become honey.
The presence of Apicultors del Montgó at the Fira is also an opportunity to highlight the importance of beekeeping and the need to understand and protect these insects, which play such an essential role in pollination.
During a weekend celebrating Gata’s local commerce, crafts, gastronomy and traditions, this exhibition also reminds us of the importance of the natural environment and of the people who work to keep it alive.
